English teachers gathered for a conference at Middlesex on Friday 11 November to discuss how work on language, literature and writing can be integrated in English classrooms. The conference was the fourth organised by the Integrating English project.
This was immediately followed by the National Association for the Teaching of English (NATE) Post-16 conference, also hosted at Middlesex, and featuring Middlesex’s Dr Billy Clark as a keynote speaker.
‘These are exciting times for English, and it’s a great time to be at Middlesex, which is playing a key role in shaping these ideas’. - Dr Billy Clark

Middlesex has been selected as an official partner of Young Careers – a new government backed pilot designed to shape the future of careers advice in England.
The initiative is being run locally by public services provider Reed in Partnership and focusses on strengthening links between business and education to improve careers guidance given in schools.
The aim is to leave young people inspired and informed around their career opportunities. We will be working closely with local schools to deliver in-depth and impartial advice around careers, including attendance at an on campus STEM Festival and access to a careers assessment tool.
