Young entrepreneurs from schools across north London showed off their business skills in the Junior Entrepreneur of the Year competition at Middlesex University on 17 November.
Run during Global Entrepreneurship Week, the annual event to discover the best young entrepreneurs from the region is part of the University’s wider campaign to inspire and encourage local students into business.
Guided and supported by academics from Middlesex’s Business School, students were shown the basics of running a business including how a business operates, business plans, promotion and advertising, and finance.

Middlesex has been selected as an official partner of Young Careers – a new government backed pilot designed to shape the future of careers advice in England.
The initiative is being run locally by public services provider Reed in Partnership and focusses on strengthening links between business and education to improve careers guidance given in schools.
The aim is to leave young people inspired and informed around their career opportunities. We will be working closely with local schools to deliver in-depth and impartial advice around careers, including attendance at an on campus STEM Festival and access to a careers assessment tool.
